A graduate of the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Rome and of the Conservatoire Supérieure d’Art Dramatique in Paris, Stefano Giuliani was the creator of many set designs and stagings on both the opera and theatre stages. Included are works by Shakespeare, Molière, Beaumarchais, Goldoni, Mozart, Rossini, Dostoieski, Ibsen to name just a few. From 1996 to 2002, The Université Libre in Brussels and the Facultés Catholiques in Mons have invited him to conduct masterclasses and internships on cinema and theatre. Most recently from 2003 to 2009, he signed his name to stagings and set designs of : “Così Fan Tutte” by Mozart at La Hulpe - Brussels, “Il Ritorno di Ulisse in Patria” by Monteverdi at the Théâtres in Namur and in Mons “Zauberflôte” by Mozart at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Charleroi “Carmen” by Bizet at the Salle Elisabeth in Antwerp “L’Elisir d’Amore” by Donizetti at the Teatro Trinidad in Lisbon, as well as plays by Shakespeare, Cocteau, Schaeffer, Tchekov, Prévert and many others. With his career in the theatre, since 2007, he has exhibited his own works of art in solo at the Palais des Beaux-arts in Charleroi, La Fabrik in Lyon, Magnanerie de Seillans in Sint-Raphaël San Paolo dentro le Mura in Rome Accademia in Siena. In collective exhibitions L’Espace Toblac in Paris In many private galleries in Pisa, Lucca, Napoli, Knokke, Vallauris, Lille. Awards In 1992 Prix the best artiste in residence in Academy of Liege. In 1991, “Liberation” give the thirty place for the best set-desiner for his theater work “Paroles d’amour” by Prévet and Kosma. In 1997, in Albany USA, he received the Kellog Price, for the best set-designer of a foreign production for the opera “Orfeo” by Claudio Monteverdi. |
