Born in Paris in 1958, sculptor, full of passion for the work of Camille Claudel, Alberto Giacometti and Henry Moore.
 
After three years of study at the Esmond School, she worked as a stylist for Nina Ricci from 1983 until 1988.
After that she recommenced studying at the Paris Art Academy, where she perfected her style by working with life models.
 
Since the beginning of 2002 her style has evolved to more pure forms, on beforehand she endows her sculptures with movement and modernity.
 Michèle Chast owns the skill of creating “reflecting” sculptures from out of matter. One can observe her statues for hours, and each time one will discover new perceptions behind each trait.
 
Currently she creates sculptures in black and white raisin, that are being realized by Haligon.
 
Her work can be found in various collections, in France and abroad.
 
She participated with success to various sales and auctions at Drouot in Paris, the same was the case with the House of Michel Berger in Paris and Brussels.
 
Since March 2006 her sculptures have been exhibited at Galerie Rubens de Maria Manfredonia. Through the same Gallery she participated to the “Ahoy Life-style” Fair in Rotterdam in 2009, and to the Libr’Art Fair in Libramont in 2010.
