Almost all of my paintings are inspired by organic forms such as landscapes, rivers, the earth, trees and flowers. These forms represent development and change. By building up layers of paint and combining these with adjacent layers and then removing some of the material, I try to create paintings which are as complex and layered as life itself. My paintings contain an expressive and personal handwriting.
